User Management

Git Web Manager

Create accounts, enforce password changes, and manage access.

First User Registration

Registration is open only when no users exist. After the first user is created, registration is automatically disabled.

Admin-Created Users

  • Create users from the Users page in the main navigation.
  • Optional temporary password generation.
  • Users are required to change password on first login.

Organization Workspace

Projects, queues, deployments, and shared remote access records are visible across users in the installation. GWM is intended to be run by one organization rather than as isolated per-user hosting.

Password Reset

Admins can issue a reset link or generate a new temporary password when needed.

Profile Timezone

Each user can set their timezone from the Profile page. If a user has not set a timezone yet, the admin’s timezone is used as the default. All timestamps across projects, queues, updates, and logs are rendered in the signed-in user’s timezone.

User Language

Each user can select their preferred language from the language button in the application header. Admin-created users inherit the administrator's language by default, then can change it after signing in.

The language selector is also available on login, registration, and recovery screens. See Localization for the full multilingual behavior.
